THE GUERNSEY GLOBE was the island's only free weekly newspaper
for the best part of a decade. It was also the only local tabloid news publication
until the Guernsey Press changed its format in September 1999.
The Globe,
which reaches more than 18,000 homes every week, is now established
as a strong, community-based newspaper which presents lively news and
features with full colour.
Charity
projects are one of its main focuses it and endeavours to encourage
young readers to develop an interest in local news.
Market
research by NOP on the Globe reported that its performance was impressive
and rated very highly against other free sheet publications in the UK.
Printed
every Wednesday, the Guernsey Globe has strong editorial coverage with
weekend TV listing, a wine and dine section, business page, motoring section,
trade and service listings, and a well supported classified section.
Solus positions are available on the front page, page two and page three.
Regular advertising features are very popular and are an excellent way
