CONDITIONS OF ACCEPTANCE


The Guernsey Press & Star will accept advertisements for publication subject only to the following conditions.

The publisher does not accept liability for any loss or damage caused by:

(a)

an error, inaccuracy or omission in the printing of an advertisement:

(b)

for any failure to publish an advertisement on the date or dates specified by the advertiser:

(c)

for the publication of an advertisement on the date or dates other than the date or dates specified by the advertiser whether the actual date of publication be earlier or later than the date or dates specified: and/or;

(d)

in respect of any loss or damage alleged to have arisen through delay in forwarding or omission to forward replies to Box Numbers to the advertiser, however caused.

Every effort will be made to comply with an advertiser's instructions although no guarantee is given that any advertisement will be inserted on a specific day.
All advertisements are accepted subject to the contents being approved by the editor.
Management reserves the right to refuse an advertisement, although accepted and paid for, or to make any alteration that may be deemed necessary.
Notice of cancellation of Front Page Solus advertisements must be received in writing at least seven working days before publication. Notice of cancellation of all other advertisements must be received by 5pm two working days prior to publication.
Non compliance with the above cancellation times will incur the full cost of space booked.
It is the responsibility of the advertiser to check the correctness of each insertion of an advertisement. No responsibility can be assumed for the repetition of an error in an advertisement ordered for more than one insertion unless notification is received immediately the error occurs.
Advertisers whose artwork is retained at the Guernsey Press office are asked to note that artwork - with the exception of name logos - which has not been used for three months will be destroyed unless claimed within that time. No guarantee can be given of the safekeeping of any artwork beyond a three-month period after it was used.

Copy for all display advertisements and alterations to existing advertisements must be received by The Guernsey Press & Star by 5pm two working days before publication.
